KJ Racing - The First Year.

In our first season we were racing with the Derby Phoenix Motor Cycle Club. 109 was our lucky race number for 2002 and we have an ex Castrol Honda CBR 600 FX as our race bike. Wayne Kenward started his racing career with us as our rider.

The Bike

Originally used by James Toseland as a development bike while he raced with Castrol Honda World super Bike Team. The bike is fully equipped with all the goodies you would expect on a works machine. Works Ohlins, Pace radiator, HRC bits everywhere and an Engine built by Keith Whiting., who is possible one of the best CBR 600 tuners in the world. Later raced by Simon Andrews in 2000 with the Team UCK Racing and again engineered by Keith Whiting., The bike helped Simon achieve some excellent results in British Super Sport. This is where the red and white paint job replaced the Castrol Honda colours. In 2001 the bike ended up with Dave Seidel Racing and was raced by Ben Wilson (Junior Super Stock champion 2001) in the British Super Sport rounds. The red and white paint work stayed and again the bike with Ben in the hot seat obtained some excellent results.

2003 - The Second Year.

In our second year, a new rider Dan Cannell was brought on board. A keen 20 something with ambition and drive. Unfortunately Dan and the KJ Racing team parted company and we then dipped our toes into sponsoring and running different teams at different levels in different clubs. There is Sam Crookes, at Nine years old doing Mini Moto. Mark 'the dog' Davis, in his Twenties riding a Kawasaki in MRO. Lying 2nd in the Championship and pushing hard for First! Then at BSB there is Doug Cowie. After a bad start to the session, work is underway for a successful 2004.

Mini Moto Star

Introducing Sam Crookes. Sam is Ten years old and this is his second years Racing on Mini Motos. Sam has taken to riding and racing like a duck to water and he is currently lying 4th overall in the championship. With this years bike sprayed in KJ Racing's blue and silver colour scheme, Sam is planning to get a new fuel injected bike for next year and take on the big boys! Watch this space for more news and if you want any further information or to just go along and watch Sam in action, please Email Us.

MRO - Champion in the Making

Mark 'the dog' Davis is racing in MRO 600 cc class and at the moment fighting for 1st. He is currently lying 2nd in the championship with his new Kawasaki ZX6R and is planning on upping the pace next year in BSB. Mark is looking for sponsorship and if you could help, please email us at KJ-Racing.com

BSB - SuperSport Championship - Doug Cowie

In the SuperSport Champion in the BSB paddock, Doug Cowie is battling against the odds. After a bad start to the session and an engine blown up, we are finishing this year and working on the plans for next. For more information on how the session ended, Email Us

2004 - Third Year - SuperStock at BSB

This year KJ Racing has committed even more time, effort, commitment and of course money by sponsoring Mark ‘the dog’ Davies in the British SuperStock Championship with a Kawasaki ZX10R. We are not only providing some Financial help, we are also heavily involved with the general public awareness of Mark and the team with News Letters for every meeting, Race Brochure, Corporate Image and much, much more.  If you would like to receive a copy of the News Letter via Email, please click HERE.  Mark is racing under the name of KJ Racing this year and you will find us in the British Paddock helping out at every race meet.  Please drop by and say Hello, it would be nice to see you all there.

2004 - Bike

The brand new Kawasaki ZX10R is the bike for this season and is a race bike supplied by Kawasaki.  An impressive 160bhp is put out at the back wheel and as Mark 'the dog' Davies has commented, "its awesome!"   The bike came in the standard Black and the road tyres had been specially developed just for this bike!
